Celebrity BOTOX

Celebrity rumors abound with who’s getting BOTOX® and who’s not. The public seems obsessed with what celebrities are wearing, who they’re dating, and, of course, what their putting in their faces. Celebrities linked to BOTOX Cosmetic include Elizabeth Hurley, Katie Couric, Kelly Ripa, Kim Cattrall, Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, Ryan Seacrest, and Virginia Madsen. Virginia Madsen is actually the spokeswoman for BOTOX Cosmetic’s campaign “Keep the Wisdom. Lose the Lines.” Unlike other celebrities, the Sideways star openly admits to using both BOTOX and Juvederm™. About the procedures Madsen has commented, “I am not using these injectables to look 25. I don't want to be 25. I just want to look like me. I am 45, and I am in the best shape that I have ever been in my life.”

Some celebrity BOTOX clients are up front like Madsen, while others like to keep cosmetic treatments more private. Because of this there’s often rumors and wild accusations about Hollywood celebs with BOTOX Cosmetic. And often it’s just that… rumors. Such as the celebrity gossip about Priscilla Presley receiving a botched BOTOX injection. This is simply untrue. Priscilla Presley’s cosmetic treatments had absolutely nothing to do with BOTOX Cosmetic or any other FDA approved dermal injectable or filler. Priscilla Presley, and several other Hollywood housewives, made the unfortunate acquaintance of a conman, who injected them with auto grade silicone. One could say that’s the price of beauty in Hollywood, but in reality we’re all looking for ways to say younger and beautiful.

Celebrities face a stigma with BOTOX treatments and other cosmetic procedures. Madsen, for one, is a big proponent of BOTOX safety and getting the facts out there. “I think a lot of people have lost sight of that with the growing popularity of these products… I made a lot of choices to keep myself youthful and strong. I work out. I eat good foods. And I also get injectables, and I just felt like it was really important for us to discuss the safety issues.”

Botox and the Stars

Other celebrities such as Celine Dion, Cher, Madonna and even Sylvester Stallone are rumoured to have gone under the Botox needle, but only a few such as veteran comedienne Joan Rivers and Hollywood actress Annie Potts have admitted to being converts.
